These discourses appear in a context of increasing territorial conflicts. The purpose of this article is to analyse the main arguments provided by these journalistic articles and point out its fallacies in anthropological terms, taking into consideration that these readings resort to essentialist and biologistic explanations of the identities. To achieve this objective we analyses the connections among the direct violence, structural and cultural, along the specific historic process of the Roberto Maliqueo community. Analyses these connections will show how the dichotomy between civilization and barbarity structured the manner of interrelation with this People. Furthermore, we will use the notion of state of exception of Agamben, as an official norm, for think how historically this diverse types of violence are interconnect justifying the exception to certain rights to the Mapuche People. Besides, this theoretical notion will allow us to investigate how it is starting to be linked with the idea of terrorism, mainly in the medias of Argentina, to this People. Popular imaginaries of the Mapuche as foreigners in Argentina prospered (Briones, 2005).
